Chainsaw maintenance/crosscutting & felling of small trees courses:
Lee was down to earth, super friendly, good crack. Excellent communication, fast delivery. Even with a pulled back injury, Lee adapted the course to best suit my capabilities. I’d never used a chainsaw before, this course made me feel capable and confident with techniques and the machines themselves. Great energy between all the team, couldn’t fault LBS 🙏

I had a fantastic week with LBS training . Our instructor Tom was extremely patient and knowledgeable, always there to answer questions and advice accordingly. I took part in the NPTC Chainsaw Cross Cut Maintenance course and it has been an bsolutely fantastic learning experience, with brilliant facilities. Lee was very helpful and patient with all of us on the course and encouraged questions and made it a very fun experience.
Cannot wait to get onto the next course and build up more qualifications with LBS. Highly highly recommended for those with little to no experience or those that have used chainsaws for years but have never had formal training.

I would highly recommend the LBS Training team and courses! At the end of 2025 I bulk booked my cross cut and maintenance, felling up to 380mm, accessing a tree from a rope and harness + (aerial rescue) and finally using a chainsaw from a rope and harness, the instructors for each of the courses were very experienced and had a lot of knowledge in arboriculture and surrounding topics, additionally I also hired all of the equipment through them which came at a high standard and a echo 2511 (Great saw) !
If your looking to head into a career in tree work seriously check out LBS 💪

Excellent day with LBS Training & Assessing Ltd requalifying cross cutting and maintenace, great location and concise clear constructive instructions to remind us of the essential basics of using a chainsaw safely. Revisiting some of the cuts I had not used for a long time was also useful, a great day and highly reccommend LBS if you are considering a chainsaw course at any level.

I went down to LBS training for my tree climbing and aerial rescue course at the start of February.
I really enjoyed the course, I had a great group of lads to learn with. Tom was a wicked trainer, a good laugh and passed on a lot of knowledge.
Also got to meet Lee briefly as he popped down to see how we were getting on, great guy very enthusiastic and easy to get on with.
My assessor was also great, got on well with him and made the assessment enjoyable!
Overall had a great experience with LBS training, awesome teaching and an easy going fun environment to learn! Hope to be back to get some more tickets in the future!
