City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Dealing with Interwoven Stems and Part Blown Trees (0039-35)

This course is designed for experienced operators to deal with Windblown or damaged interwoven trees either part or whole blown, in line with industry standards.

 

Pre requisite: Must have all felling and processing trees Over 380mm up to 760mm.

We Will Cover:

Site hazards, risks, controls, emergency planning, legislation, industry good practice in dealing with interwoven stems and part blown trees. Best practice for taking down interwoven stems/damaged trees and part blown trees, leaving the site safe on completion of work. 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Chainsaw trousers – Class 1 type A (front protection) chainsaw boots, head protection – to include ear and eye protection and chainsaw gloves.

Equipment:

Chainsaw (max bar of 15/16 inches) fuel and oil, tool belt with tape, hammer and wedges, 1.6 tonne winch, compactable slings, first aid kit and auxiliary equipment.
