NPTC City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Aerial Tree Rigging (0039-32)
This course is designed for Individuals who use chainsaws as part of their work in arboriculture, forestry, or other industries to be trained to rig for dismantle, tree sections using rigging and lowering equipment. It will provide the individual with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to carry out aerial tree rigging safely and to industry standards in line with current legislation.

Rigging Equipment
Rigging Kit – lowering rope, rigging block, re-direct pulley, rigging slings and strops (x4) and rigging karabiners (x4). All must have current LOLER certificate.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Class 2/3 chainsaw rated PPE to include, trousers (all round protection) boots, jacket, helmet with ear eye protections plus chinstrap.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Chainsaw (max bar 15 inches) Good fitting harness, climbing rope 35-45 metres x 2, min of 8 karabiners, adjustable strop x 2, cambium saver x 1, 2 side slings, pair of climbing irons (spikes), wire cord flip line, 3 prusik loops, small pulley block, helmet with chin strap. All kit must have current LOLER certificate or within 6 months of brand new purchase, with receipt.
